I CAME HERE TO SING YOU A SONG

It’s a beautiful night

To be under the lights

After traveling all day long

Most at my age

Have long left the stage

Me, I am still moving on

There’s more left to do

Between me and you

So I came here to sing you a song

The road here was crooked

I’m glad that I took it

‘Cause it brought me to where I belong

And all that I’ve done

It all comes down to one

I came here to sing you a song

They’d draw a line and I’d cross it

I made a fortune and lost it

It didn’t go quite how I planned

Men of my kind

Can be hard ones to find

I hope somehow you’ll understand

The road here was crooked

I’m glad that I took it

‘Cause it brought me to where I belong

And all that I’ve done

It all comes down to one

I came here to sing you a song

The road here was crooked

I’m so glad that I took it

‘Cause it brought me where I belong

And all that I’ve done

It all comes down to one

I came here to sing you a song
